Lateral Channel Blowers

General description of Lateral Channel Blowers

lateral-blowers-a

The construction of the side channel blowers is based on the lateral ducts principle.

A special designed impeller, forces the inlet air to follow a spiral path; the air is thus subjected to repeated accelerations which results in the achievement of a high differential pressure, or vacuum, depending on how it is used.

The impeller is assembled directly on the motor shaft, and the rotating parts are dynamically balanced to ensure almost absolute absence of vibrations.

Both housing and impellers are made from die-cast aluminum for maximum sturdiness and ease of handling.

NO LUBRICATION is required since there are no points of contact between the static and the rotating parts.

The special characteristic of our impeller design makes it possible to avoid accumulation of eventual foreign bodies, oil or dust inside the blower. However, if the blower is used in an aggressive media with high quantities of process residues, its easy construction makes it possible to quickly disassemble the impeller and inspect it.

Volume flow up to 2100 m3/h. Pressure rise up to 750 mbar and vacuum limit up to 350 mbar.

Where to use it

One outstanding feature of this blower is that the handled air or gas will always remain clean and free of oil.

The noise level will normally be approximately 70 dBA, so no acoustic enclosures are needed and the vibration levels are practically speaking not existing.
As the blowers can be mounted in any position they are easy to deal with when designing the system to be build in, giving engineers flexibility to their work.
These kind of blowers are normally to be found in:

  • Pneumatic convey systems.
  • Waste water treatment plants.
  • Textile industry.
  • Packaging systems.
  • Professional cleaning equipment.
  • ndustrial vacuum systems.
and other applications where there is a need of clean air or gas.
