Gugliotta & Co ensures million savings at Carlsberg & Tuborg’s breweries
Carlsberg & Tuborg ‘s breweries in Fredericia, Denmark, can see forward to yearly million-class savings on water when the new vacuum system for bottling machines, designed in cooperation between Gugliotta & Co. & Pneumofore SpA starts up in august 2005.
Gugliotta & Co. and Pneumofore have designed a unique engineering solution that replaces the so-called liquid ring vacuum pumps. With that the brewery in Fredericia is looking to a saving of between 5, 5 to 7, 5 m3 water per hour, per pump. The solution represents a total saving on water of nearly 35.000 m3 per bottling machine. When all bottling machines are upgraded to the new solution, the saving on water will be more than what over 1000 single-family houses consumes a year. Also the reduced noise level and an improved bacteriologic control of the airflow improve the environment in the production plant. The CO2 emissions into the plant are drastically reduced too.
The brewery obtains also a yearly saving in electrical energy of about 42.000 kWh per pump.
