LEX pumps are designed for small and medium flow capacity and vacuum level up to 35-40 mbar A. They are fitted with a special bearing housing with built-in ball bearings that support the rotating assembly. This construction allows to achieve the highest reliability even for bigger sizes, while keeping the same constructive simplicity as well as a perfect alignment with the motor which, in this case, is UNELMEC, B5.

The two standard constructions have the stationary parts made of cast iron (ASTM A278 Cl. 250) or stainless steel (ASTM A351 CF8M).

The impeller is always made of bronze or stainless steel, thus improving the corrosion resistance as well as the wear which could be caused by cavitation, while strongly increasing the pump reliability.

All the pumps can be coupled with both 50and 60 Hz motors.

Both LEX and MEX pump series, are single stage liquid ring.

These pumps can also be used as compressors.

Where to use it

They are used to convey air and gas, even with suspended liquid, providing there are no solid parts or dusts. They are widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, textile, and plastic industries, for gas and vapour extraction, for evaporation and vacuum impregnation.

Depending on how agresive the media is, they can also be delivered with different kind of coatings in the internal parts, such as ECTFE, ETFE, PFA.

The same serie is also produced in a magnetic coupling execution; Such a solution is recommended any time the handled gas or fluid is explosive or toxic.
